STAMPYRA

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026. This policy covers the Android app “Stampyra: GPS Map Camera” (package com.theyourlist.stampyra), published by TheYourList (“we”, “us”). Contact: [email protected].

1. Your photos stay on your phone

Stampyra draws the stamp and writes the photo on your device. We never receive, upload, store or share your photos, and we operate no servers that process them. Stamped photos are saved to your gallery (Pictures/Stampyra; optional unstamped copies in Pictures/Stampyra/Originals) and a copy is kept in the app's private storage for the Library and reports until you delete it or uninstall the app. Reports and archives you export are saved to Downloads/Stampyra and only leave the phone if you share them. Cloud backup of the app's private storage is disabled.

2. Location

Stampyra uses your precise or approximate location only while the app is open, to put coordinates, altitude, the address, the weather and a mini-map on your photos. It never uses location in the background and never tracks your movements. Your location is stored only inside your photos (on the stamp and in their EXIF) and in the app's private library on your phone.

To draw the stamp, the position is sent — without any photo or identifier of yours — to these services:

Photos you choose from your library are read through the Android photo picker, which only gives Stampyra the photos you select. With your permission (“photo location”), Stampyra reads the GPS stored in those photos to stamp them; the originals are not changed.

3. Permissions

Stampyra does not request access to your whole photo library, the microphone, contacts or background location.

4. Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)

With your consent where required, we use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. We log anonymous events such as “photo captured (template Field Work)”, “photos stamped from library (2–5)”, “PDF report exported”, “paywall viewed” or “purchase completed”, plus device model, OS and app version, approximate region and an app-instance identifier. We never log photos, coordinates, addresses, file names or notes; the app enforces this with an allow-list of event parameters. Crash reports contain the error type and stack trace only. Firebase Remote Config is used to tune paywall and ad settings.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob and Unity Ads)

The free version shows ads: a slim banner in the Library, map and template screens, an occasional full-screen ad after you leave the camera following a few saved photos or after stamping from your library, and optional rewarded ads you choose to watch (to try a Pro template, remove the “Shot with Stampyra” line once, or export one report). Ads never cover the camera or the shutter, and never appear during onboarding or on the paywall. Stampyra Pro removes all ads.

Ads are served by Google AdMob, with Unity Ads competing through AdMob mediation and serving the banner directly. These partners may collect the advertising ID, device and usage information and approximate location derived from your IP address to serve and measure ads. Stampyra does not pass your GPS location to ad networks. See Google's and Unity's privacy policies.

6. Your choices (GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss FADP, US state laws)

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Stampyra asks for your consent through Google's consent message (IAB TCF) before personalised ads or analytics are used. If you decline, ads are non-personalised and analytics stays off. In US states with privacy laws (such as California, Virginia, Colorado), you can opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and targeted advertising. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices.

Legal bases (GDPR): consent for analytics and personalised ads; performance of a contract for the stamping features you use and for purchases; legitimate interest for crash diagnostics where consent is not required. You may request access, deletion, correction or portability of data we control, object to processing, or lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. California residents: we do not sell personal information for money; ad partners may receive identifiers as described above, which you can opt out of in Privacy choices. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their rights.

7. Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Google Play. We never receive your payment details; Google tells the app whether Pro is active.

8. Retention and deletion

Photos, the library and reports remain on your device until you delete them. Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months. See how to delete your data.

9. Children

Stampyra is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date above.
